Participants will get the opportunity to create a unique and personal piece of artwork and bring it home with them to install it in their home. Choosing from a diverse collection of traditional and non-traditional art making materials, attendees can take their time to arrange a collage, paint a painting, or sculpt an assemblage or simply experiment with a buffet of various materials. Guided art making processes and examples of finished artworks will be available but participants will also be encouraged to feel free to honor their own creative inspiration/process to produce their creations. The theme for this communal art making event is “Affirmations” and so individuals, families, couples, housemates, etc. will be encouraged to make artwork individually or collaboratively that will be placed in their home and be a positive visual resonator.
