Black Girls Can Talk LIVE: The Art of Sisterhood is a free, immersive public experience celebrating Black women’s stories through storytelling, live music, spoken word, and interactive art. Hosted by Dr. DaJaneil McCree, author of Black Girls Can Talk and host of the Black Girls Can Talk podcast, the evening invites Baltimore residents to move through a community marketplace of women-owned vendors, a live “Black Girls Can Talk” podcast recording featuring local Baltimore women, three spoken word performances, live music, and interactive installations including a community story wall and a photo exhibit honoring Baltimore women. Rather than a traditional panel, attendees become co-creators — contributing their own stories to a collective art installation that closes the night. The event blends literary, performing, and visual arts with public humanities, centering healing, identity, and belonging for Baltimore’s Black women and girls.
