Historic Fells Point is riddled with so much spiritual folklore that it sustains a ghost walking tour, and everyone living or working there has a story to share. Ghost stories don’t just tingle the spine; they are often many-century old oral folklore that bears repeating.
On the weekend before Halloween, the Corner Creepies event kicks off Fells Point Corner Theatre’s 35th season in Upper Fells Point. Kimberley Lynne, author of Eastern Shore ghost folklore book, Dredging the Choptank, will host an evening of spooky stories, featuring local artist Tony Tsendeas performing the terrifying prose of Edgar Allen Poe. Other FPCT members will share their phantom experiences with the audience, encouraging the neighborhood to share their own haunted tales. Theaters often host ghost folklore, and the nineteenth century building that houses FPCT is no exception.
This family friendly event includes a costume competition and holiday treats.
The first evening of the three-night run will be free to the public.
