Arteasy is one of Baltimore’s newest art resources. Located in Federal Hill, the studio is designed to serve as an informal hub for local artists. We are dedicated to creativity, community, and making art accessible to everyone.

Each event in our Free Fall series will include a different primary activity for participants to enjoy. The precise schedule of activities will be published in September, but representative activities include:

  • Journal Making: A hands-on introduction to the art of bookmaking! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants create two beautiful handmade journals—a Japanese stab-bound book and a classic saddle-stitched style—using a variety of unique cover options, including eco-printed papers made from sustainably sourced Baltimore flora.
  • Landscape Painting: Whether dreaming of fall foliage or wintery snowscapes, participants will be guided step-by-step to create their own season-inspired masterpiece in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. No experience needed, and all supplies included.
  • Clay Handbuilding Demo: One of our favorite mediums to remove barriers for is clay. We believe everyone should be able to experience the satisfaction of building your own functional or sculptural ware from the mud of this earth. Participants will be invited to a hand building session, as well as a follow up session for glazing and decorating.
  • Kid’s Zone! A day for kids of all ages to come to the studio with their parents to experience the joys of creativity. Crafts will be fall/halloween themed, multi-media, and engaging.

Each session is led by a talented member of the Arteasy community. Sessions will be free, but registration in advance is required, as space is limited to 30 participants per session.
