The Salon Series at FPCT is designed to actively engage our community in the development of new written work and in the exploration of classic texts. It provides playwrights, artists, and audience members with a casual, warm, low barrier entry point, especially for those that feel they don’t have much experience. For playwrights this series provides a first chance to have their work in front of an audience – to see and hear it live outside of the confines of the imagination. For artists, this means a low-commitment opportunity to get involved, be seen, be part of our organization. For audience members this means an opportunity to participate meaningfully in open dialogue about art, perhaps influence the development of a new play, and occasionally participate as a reader, when needed.
