This will be a wonderful addition to the consciousness-raising that has already begun to happen within and around the community of NAM, as well as a lovely time for people from more stability or privilege in the neighborhood to enjoy an artistic event together.
Our guest, Sheila Gaskins will help us begin to point to the systems that are at the root of oppression, violence, and trauma, and help us come to understand that the shame many feel because they are in crisis or “not able to make it” on their own, does not belong to them. It will also be a time when those who come from more stability can deepen solidarity.
